The following is a typical scenario of what you might encounter in your role as Housing Acquisition
Specialist. From your perspective, please describe how you would handle the situation in no less than
250 words.
As part of your responsibilities, you will interface with members of the real estate community at all
levels. You will need to build and foster those relationships with the goal of securing apartments for
Anthos Home participants. Additionally, all data needs to be maintained and updated within the internal
database system.
Johnathan is a broker who has worked with Anthos Home on multiple deals. One day he brings
you a unit from a new landlord that he describes as “eccentric”. He further explains that this
landlord, Randall, is apprehensive about accepting tenants with housing vouchers because of
past experiences. The broker describes that Randall has a very large portfolio in Queens,
Manhattan and Brooklyn, areas that have been a priority for Anthos. We recently received 10
client referrals that must be housed in a month’s time. All of them are looking to reside in the
boroughs where Randall has available apartments.
In your response consider the following:
