1. Sampling Method:

The authors utilized a randomized controlled trial (RCT) as the sampling method. In an RCT, participants are randomly assigned to different groups, facilitating a comparison of the effects of various interventions or treatments. Advantages of RCT (Polgar & Thomas, 2020):

2. Ethical Precautions:

In the article, several precautions were taken to ensure adherence to ethical principles. Firstly, all patient participants provided written and signed informed consent documentation (Zini et al., n.d.). Secondly, patients’ confidentiality was strictly maintained, even when some were removed due to conflicts within the study, pregnancy, or lack of study follow-through (Zini et al., n.d.). All references to participants were anonymized. Moreover, no mention was made within the study regarding harm experienced by the patients due to the study.
