Write a personal narrative about Mediterranean fever at a young age (preschool)

Description of Assignment:
Events that have happened in our lives define who we are. We are who we are because of these
various incidents that have happened to us. In five, ten, fifteen…thirty minutes, an event can
take place that has the power to restructure our way of thinking or behaving. For your narrative
essay, choose an event that happened to you in your life. It could be any event as long as it has a
significant meaning to you. Your job would be to make sure that the reader can visualize the
event as it is happened to you. This means, you will need to dramatize the event moment by
moment, but be careful and choose only those details that will make the story exciting to read.
For this reason, I recommend that when you choose the event, only select and concentrate on
those MINUTES that are full of action, tension, emotion, and discovery. In order to make this
essay as interesting as possible for your reader, it is necessary to make sure you show who you
are, what your dreams are or were, and how you were affected. The more you can get the reader
to sympathize with you, the more interesting your essay becomes. This certainly means you can
expose your flaws and contradictions. It is also very necessary for you to use strong detail as you
describe important people, sounds and sights in your writing: this will enable the reader to
visualize what was happening to you. After all, your job is not only to paint a vivid image of
what happened, but also to involve the reader in your story by dramatizing the conflicts and
tension. This conflict is personally important to you. It may be the loss of something. It may
mean the loss of a negative part of your life and the shaping of a stronger you. It may mean
facing the terrifying emotions of infidelity from a loved one. No matter what, you should care
about the conflict and or event you have faced. Mainly, your job is to create tension points in the
story so that you will make the readers interested in your life. The more you make them wonder
about what happened next, the stronger your essay.
A significant requirement for the narrative essay involves showing what you have learned from
this event and how you have changed. Remember, do not announce, but show how you changed.
Does the event have a greater and deeper spiritual significance? What have you learned now that
you have thought about and written about this event? Sometimes you come to understand the
meaning only after you have written about the event.
The beginning should capture the reader’s attention and the ending should be well thought out.
The sentence style should be clear and creative. The grammar should be crystal clear.

dialogue are vividly shown in detail; these details are original and focused, and they form a
dominant impression. The writer uses detail to “show” rather than “tell” of important emotions
and discoveries. It thus becomes very easy for the reader to imagine and or visualize the drama
occurring in the narrative. Scenes are written with significant sensory detail. The event has a
definite meaning in the writer’s life; the way the event has changed the writer is clearly
demonstrated. The writer has crafted an engaging beginning and ending that leaves a strong,
dominant impression. The writer’s sense of style is reflected in a variety of sentence
constructions and sophisticated word choices; there are virtually no mechanical errors. The piece
thoroughly satisfies, compelling the reader to think, reflect, or act.
