1 – Use SW to model the object shown below. Extract 2D shop drawings. Print, on one page, three standard views (front, top, and right side). Show all hidden and center lines and dimension the drawings according to the standards. Also include a 3D (isometric) view of the object and place it in the upper right hand corner. Upload the file to Canvas and include the volume of the object.

2 – The figure below shows two machine parts that have to fit together according to a certain specification. Model the two parts (pin and hole). The length of the pin and the hole is arbitrary. Extract the 2D shop drawing and dimension both parts with appropriate tolerances (apply tolerances only to .7500-dimension). Use the following fits (the value of tolerances can be found in Appendix 7 of the textbook),

a)Class FN2 fit (Force and Shrink Fits), use the plus and minus (bilateral) method.

b)Class RC2 fit (Running and Sliding Fit), use the limit form method.

Upload the 2D drawings (parts a and b) to Canvas.
